im stripping... do you??!!

so, my new washing machine arrives on tuesday... im in the process of dismantling the old one before i leave the bits i dont want outside for the rag and bone man.... so far everyone i know thinks im weird....
anybody else strip old appliances for "anything that might be usefull later" ??

depends on what it is, there are loads of relays and powered water valves in a washer.

that's the last thing ive got to get out, waiting for someone to come and help me get the fly wheel off the back so i can break up the plastic drum round it!
ive saved all the wire/ circuit boards to make stuff out of, and the motor and pump, you never know when you might need them, and i can always strip the motor and use the wire to make things!
oh and the facia with the switches, not sure why that might be usefull..... but you never know!
