Rock and Roll bed!

Post by MattS on Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:21 am

It has been a labour of love but I've finally finished building a rock and roll bed for the van Very Happy the welding is a bit messy but solid enough and overall I'm pretty chuffed

I was hoping to somehow use the seatbelts with the tensioner from the middle seats on the back but then realised that there aren't enough tapped holes at the rear so I've had to use the standard rear belts. However I am missing one so I don't suppose somebody has a spare?

I've got a futon mattress that I picked up for the cushions so once that is cut to size the bed is ready to go. I deliberately made it short as the next project is a removable pod with a small gas bottle and stove that will fit in the back.

What do you guys think?

Looks good, but a tad uncomfy to me (soft Southerner, I know!) What whill you be using the seatbelts for - strapping someone to it?

That looks epic Matt! I'm hoping to do something similar, thanks for sharing, it's great to see how others have tackled it! Got any pics of with cushions on? Cool
