Bestival Bash Chaos.

Post by Guest on Thu Sep 05, 2013 7:48 am

Well today is the Start of the Bestival down here on the Island. Tremendous line-up of groups this year
and I shall miss not being at Winterbourne House this year and meeting the performers that stayed there.

The nicest ones I met were definitely Elbow and Gil Scott-Heron who sadly died last year.

My friend Andrew Scott has a Coach and Taxi and Car business and he is personally transporting Elton John
to the Bestival. I will be seeing him tonight and find out who else they are taking and will let you know-----
if anyone is interested that is.
Hey-ho. Off to work I go ----later than intended as usual.

The weather this week here has been fantastic. I was stripped to the waste
by 9am. Felt like one of the hottest days of the year so far.

Usually Bestival brings scorching weather or downpour and dreadful
Glastonbury like conditions. Well true to form at 4am now and it is tipping it down and rain is forecast for the next 3 days clearing on Monday.

What a bum for the 40,000 odd people who have paid all that money to see the top bands.
Three years ago I sold a Bedford Rascal Romahome to one of the Festival goers
so he could get back home to Scotland in it. When he saw my add in the local
paper and phoned me and told me what he was here for and what he wanted the
Romahome for I very nearly didn't go and meet him.
When we met up he had a roll of £20 notes big enough to choke a Donkey. Glad I went now. Sold it for £1000 and made nearly £800 on the deal.
Need to find some Land Rovers this time to charge for pulling the cars out of the
mud. Oh happy days.
Need some more kip too !!!Sleep Sleep
