I made contact through the website today and got this response:

Good afternoon Mr Pyke

Thank you for contacting us today. I can confirm that there are no outstanding recalls for your vehicle.

The only recall the manufacturer has advised us of on your vehicle was for a fuel tank and this work was carried out in 2001.

I hope that this information is of use to you.

Regards

Simon

Another recall job done...

Post by harrythehamster on Thu Oct 29, 2015 6:57 pm

Another prop shaft done! Despite reading about the recall before I thought it didn't apply to my van. Recently I had some rumbling from the rear end, er, and was looking on the forum and read this thread again, then I called Daihatsu (IMG) who told me to email them via their online form:

http://daihatsu.co.uk/support/

So when it eventually loaded I did, it crashed so I was planning to call back the next day but the message must have got through and I got an email saying mine was affected, hasn't been done and to contact a dealer to get it done.

So I called the dealer who said '...Daihatsu, er we don't really do that any more...' after a short chat they took it on, part ordered within 2 days and job done this week.

This is the old prop shaft:

and this is the new one:

Not sure what the difference is but the drive home was less rumbly than it used to be!
