A Dilemma .

Post by Logi on Thu Sep 26, 2013 6:54 pm

Been getting the notion for a winter runabout, Merc goes off the road this week, much as I love the 'Jet it's not really suitable for some occasions. Evil or Very Mad
Been looking for an old X300/308 Jag, always fancied a Jag, like the V8 but the engines have quite a few inherent (and bloody expensive) probs. But it's a V8 Cool  Had kinda decided on the X300, goes to see a local Jag specialist who's got a nice burgundy one, well nice for the money. As i'm leaving after arranging a test drive on Saturday asked if it had cruise," not sure", he says, "but this one does", and shows me a minty ultra low mile LWB Sovereign, Ivory leather, all the toys, dark blue, big f*ck off rims, gorgeous.

But it's twice the price.Mad

But I want it.... Twisted Evil

But I WANT it Twisted Evil

But the other one's nice too Smile

But I want the blue one!!!! Twisted Evil

So if the burgundy one does have cruise...?

Ultra low mileage isn't always a good idea - cars need to be used. Discs rusting, calipers seizing, etc, etc.

If you go for the cheaper one you could also pick up a 4x4 van for the snow (if you can find one that is Very Happy )

There not much cop in snow though. How about a set of winter tyres for the Hijet?

You can't stop at just 1 Jag.

Its like a fine shotgun - you must buy a pair.

So are you still chewing nails or have you come to a decision?
