Yep working model engine building is quite a popular hobby.

Some serious skilled work goes into them.

It's not expensive unless your charging by the hour it's just very time consuming.

Wish I had a milling machine, lathe, and... skills.

This is the cost... measuring gear, machining and turning gear, materials, cutting tips, and some serious attention to design and engineering.

You would have to burn a couple of grand on tooling just to get going. But a good investment I would say!  Smile 

I could retire playing with stuff like that as a little old man.
