squeaky belt

Post by Poppi on Sun Jun 22, 2014 10:04 pm

After parking on grass my hi jet belt had a squeak could this be due to moisture from grass at night ? soon stopped but was very noisy for a while. And has anyone ever added a shield or anything to prevent this happening ?

Does it squeak if you park it on a hard surface over night, the alternater might just be working hard to charge the battery too

Does it squeak if you replace the old worn out belt with a new properly tensioned one. Wink

Did you leave a light on or something?

I would say that the belt is not tight enough if it ever squeaks.

Point the hose pipe at the belt and give it another whirl.
