Leaf Spring

Post by doug100 on Wed Aug 20, 2014 9:30 pm

Hi All

I have a question about changing leaf springs. I managed to get the old one off but I need to reuse the spring pad and retainer off the old one. I cant get it off and wonder if it is just stuck on or if the center bolt needs to be removed first.

Cheers

Douglas

Should I clamp the leafs before undoing the nut? Might be simple questions but never done it before.

Doesn't really matter, do expect to replace the nut and bolt though as they tend to be rotten.

Thanks Highlyjetted
There is a nut and bolt on the new spring, I just need to reuse the pad and retainer.
