Redundant for Christmas!

Post by andy pyke on Wed Dec 24, 2014 10:46 am

Just got an email this morning, christmas eve, from my employer telling us that the company has gone into liquidation and we're all jobless. Lovely. So glad I worked like a dog for the last 3 months without pay on the promise that things were about to turn a corner Sad

FFS!!!! scratch

Shit on it's employees, it seems. Though I'd be wary, working for 3 months on a promise. Still, as long as you have a 'bone, you can earn.

Hope this finds you something better, it does happen often.

Thanks guys, I should have bailed out earlier but we were told an investor was injecting cash to take things forward etc etc.

Seems that in the end he didnt invest and in the meantime our deluded MD had run the company into the ground.

HJ, it was a renewable energy business. Apparently now all we'll get is governments statutory payoff of about £800. Trying not to think about it too much today. Will do the worrying next week...
