Looking for carpet

Post by andy pyke on Sat Jun 20, 2015 5:03 pm

Wondering if anyone has the moulded piece of the rear carpet available? This part is missing from mine!  Are there bits of carpet for the wheel arches too?

Many thanks....

OK, I used to be able to post photos without any problem at all. Now I can't and have no idea why not. I'm doing everything exactly the same. Have any settings changed I wonder?

The rear carpet is all one piece, including the wheel arches.

Seriously, im baffled by the picture posting problem and i never used to be.....

I wanted to post a picture of my carpet becuase the front section rightnbehind the seats is cut out and missing. Right over the bit you can unbolt to get into the engine. Or maybe there wasnt any there in the first place?

BTW, my Hijet is a mobility spec....slightly different layout in the back with 2 independent single seats that fold up against the walls...

As Bushwhacker says, the original carpet is all one piece with moulded sections covering the wheel arches and engine cover. I suspect your one in the pic is a home grown specimen after the mobility modifications rather than a butchered original as I think it looks slightly different colour from mine around and the bits rounds the rear seat mounting hoops etc look different too.

If you google 'hijet load space' and go to images a pic comes up of a slightly shabby one on a red van about 5 rows down in the middle. (can't get a link as it tries to go to an old gumtree advert)

You'll be delighted to know I just chopped my carpet up last week... chucked out the back section but retained the front section and the wheel arches. But I need them, sorry. Twisted Evil
