Thanks. I used them for the exhaust. Just wondered if you had got tyres before cause they are teeny. One on front is getting pretty close to the limit

Just to let you Maidstone chaps know. .......I went to Bower Lanes & they wanted £48 inc fitting. Found a site on the net called 'tyre traders.com' £40 each inc delivery (to the garage) & fitting. On their website you select the tyre size, order it either for home delivery, or you can have someone come to your home to fit them or you select your local garage to fit them. There were two choices for garages to fit them in Maidstone, one in Boxley Rd & the other in Foster Street. Overall not too bad.

Damn, I was too late to offer anything useful!!!!

Mine had 4 brand new tyres on it when I got it which is one reason I have stopped myself looking for alloy wheels.

Anyway, I'm seriously contemplating hand painting it with hammerite. I know its tacky, but a man has to have a project Smile

What the whole van Andy ? That's a pretty cool idea. What the hammered finish? Boxley tyres were really good, fitted nice & quick much quicker than bower lane.  Service done by Julian today. He was very pleased that yesterday I took out the ply from the floor & cut it so he could easily just lift out a panel a foot wide to get to the engine cover bolts. He replaced the wiring loom for the rear wiper too. Just need to find somewhere now that can make me up a speedo cable. A new one is £158.16 +vat. I know a place in Watford that makes up cables & hoses but not something I've needed since I moved down here

I cut a panel in the ply to lift out to get to the battery too while I had the jigsaw out. Just incase I ever needed a jump start. Would have been a bit of a pain in the backside having to empty out all my work stuff to remove the whole floor panel.

Never used Boxley Tyres and never had a long wait at Bower lane. I use to go to Set tyres on London road but have gone there for years don't know why as I always got good service from them.
