Welcome a few thouhts

Post by Raggy on Mon Sep 07, 2015 11:13 pm

Have seen a van advertised (been looking fo a pop top camper version) and asked the seller a few questions and had a few photos sent but one comment makes me wonder if its one to leave alone. When talking about the van it was said the previous owner had 'sealed' the engine. Current owner reports (probably as expected) that they had no overheat issues and that they were led to belive this was common practice on campers. Apart from that its a van that has some surface rust areas and would be a bit of a project van as some mechanicals will be needed to be done, brake disc changes etc. Has a current MOT till next May with a few advisories, tyre, surface rust, etc.
No dont expect an answer of yes its worth it or not but just he usual general comments. Not wanting to let heart rule head so needing common sense comments Neutral

Could mean a couple of things, the front seats are the access to the engine and are not the best seal, push back on the seat and you will hear more engine noise or more likely someone has put something like Kseal in the coolant and maybe leak stop in the oil.
