Camper gas bottle Position

Post by Raggy on Tue Sep 29, 2015 9:39 pm

Had a quick look under seat in camper and seen that the gas bottle lays on its side under the seat (when not connected and the seat down) but to put the connector in the bottle needs to be upright and you would not be able to put the seat down. Is this correct or does the bottle need changing for a smaller one?

You get fork trucks where the gas bottles is on it's side so might be ok to use on it's side. I would have a word with Calor about it.

After a Googlecseems they are special bottles to allow that, normal ones should be kept upright so going to do a measure up tomorrow and see if calor smallest bottle will fit upright. Cant see how it was used with bottle as it is, seems strange setup if seat has to be left up to use it, maybe non original bottle?

Yes, just been out with the measuring tape, a 901 would fit just fine and be enough for what we will use it, previous owners must have changed it fir a larger one, will keep it as a spare. Thanks

Whilst looking at the gas situation, looked under the cooker and saw this:
Where should that earth be connected to? The list of jobs is growing!
