Welcome. It's old and rare, so parts won't be easy. Where in the world are you?

Thank you for the quick response. I'm in England. Yes it's very rare. It's that rare that there is currently none register on the roads in the UK!

Welcome along, if you don't enjoy hunting for unobtanium I'd give up now, sorry. I know my local Daishitsu dealer has some parts kicking around, best bet is to try and get a list of old dealers who may have old stock.and pay them a visit.

I'm not sure how to post pics on here ? I've tried loads of daihatsu dealers and none of which can get hold of anything for this model. Does anyone know if I can cross reference any other parts ? Thanks

Danny, did you find a solution to sourcing parts? I also own a 1983 'Daihatsu 850 S70 pickup' and I'm also struggling to get parts. In particular, I'm also looking for Front Wheel Cylinders!!

Hi,

One solution to unobtainable hydraulic cylinders is to have your old cylinder resleeved. The sleeve is stainless steel, and will last forever. Not cheap, but might be less than paying for an obsolete Japanese part.

I have not yet matured on this forum, so cannot post links. Do a Google for SLEEVE HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS UK (you won't want the Australian version).

I have had discussions with PAST PARTS (try Googling them). I asked if they could overbore and sleeve a Triumph Herald 18mm (?) master to 22mm. The Herald master has a tilted reservoir which would obviate the need for a remote reservoir (silly expensive) on my Land Rover. The nice man said it would depend on the wall thickness, but he would be prepared to have a go.
He also said he could remove broken bleed nipples.

Thinking about it now .... I could use a standard Herald clutch master, and sleeve DOWN then slave.

If you do contact Past Parts, or whoever, please tell us what they say.

Hi again,

Go straight to Google PAST PARTS BRAKES, or even Pastparts (one word) followed by Company, followed by United Kingdom, if you follow my meaning.
