Nice day's shopping! Alloys look good - I'm assuming there's a fourth one somewhere. Think some people have found 15 inchers hit the wheel arch inners but that may depend on tyre profiles etc. Are they 4x110 PCD or will there be some fitment jiggery pokery going on? Hoping to get my van back from the doctor tomorrow ang get my alloys fitted too.

Blinking good deal there George. Everyone deserves a bit of good luck every now and then, but 4 wheels and tyres that are definitely Hi-Jet for double that money I would have said wasn't a bad deal. Well done. Outside door handles are as rare as good 1300 Headlights too.

wow nice wheels man.
i personaly like a bitt of poke, i think it looks cool on such a small van.
the wheels that are going on my carry have a verry low offset to.
they clear the sliding doors by about a massive 1-2mm  Laughing

i think i am going to fit som jdm unversial arches to.

if the guy doesnt send you the arches you could think about classic mini arches.
i had them on my hijet and they were a nice fitt.
you have to get the rear ones double because the front ones are unusable.
so 2x left rear and 2x right rear from a classic mini.
you could get them second hand from somebody whos breaking a mini or selling parts.

some pictures of my hijet with those flares

i had to cut a litle of the hindge to clear them

They are 4 x 110 (apparently.) I couldn't quite believe my luck when I got them for the starting bid!
Guy also has a camper pop top, 1.3 engine, gearbox, and rear axle if anyone needs anything.
Those arches look great scotia, thanks for the tip off! I also like the smoked indicators? Did you use film? I have bought some yellow to see what it looks like on the headlights, it's not here yet though.

i took of the glass and sprayed  the inside housing matt black.

on my carry i used yellow headlightfoil.
i dont know if you ordered spray or foil but i would be carefull spraying your headlights
they are difficult to get and verry expensive,so dont mess them up with spray
foil can be removed easily

I got foil! You are very brave spraying!

Got put off spraying when I saw a youth on police interceptors (or similar) getting stopped and done for it.

I spotted that - hilarious expression!

Apologies for hijacking George’s thread for my own question but I’m assuming I can just use my original steel wheel nuts on my new alloys. There seems to be all sorts of conflicting views out in google-land.

@sputnik
there are different nuts for different wheels indeed
i think you should be able to just watch how they fitt no?

i have 2 sets  of wheels for my carry and one has to have a different kind of wheelnut indeed
i just found that out when fitting them

An alternative is these I put on mine, got them of ebay, just cut to fit, stick on with Tiger Seal and dont cost that much.

Small enough to miss the door as well when opening it.

Thanks Scotia - the old bolts seemed to fit nicely.

New exhaust, brake pipes fixed, MOT passed and alloys fitted. My wee bus is back on the streets!

thanx george ,yeah i loved my litle hijet verry much to
such a shame i got fed up with it overheating and couldnt get that under control.
but after a while of not owning a microvan i would still think about it verry often
thats why in time i started to search for something similar and bought the carry.

Nice looking van there, the wheels set it off nicely. The wheels look similar to mine except your have the dark centre. Prefer these over the actual hijet alloys.

Haha Oldie. No, afraid they're still in the boot. Just moved house so am at the whim of DIY any time I'm not working. Don't know how I felt it was the right time to start a van project really! Although she is already proving a good little workhorse around town.

Skipped home from work early today and managed to replace the drivers side sliding door handles which now work like a dream. Lubed everything up whilst I was there (and also dropped a little nut into the door body. Which I assume is now lost for good.)

Started fitting wheels at dusk.

Got one on before conceding I would have a better time of it in the daylight.

TBC.....

First thing I changed the seatbelt plugs. Minor improvement but all things will help.

Then did all the wheels and gave them a clean. Well into it but definitely want some arches now! Damn the leaf on my windscreen ruining The shot

Some black arches and that will look sweet! Does not look bad as it is now. Hope you tackled that inside console! Very Happy
Had to replace my seat belt stalk when I first got mine, common issue apparently, getting it trapped when lifting seat up and down.
What size tyres are they, know you said 15”. How’s the fit when turning and does the side door bracket need ‘adjustment’?

Haaaang on!

I know I previously said it looked very nice but I've just noticed that leaf, and frankly, that's wrecked it for me. Ruined it. Ghastly little van... awful. Just think about what might have been.

And for that reason... I'm out.
