Are you absolutely sure that's the case? Many damaged vehicles are classified as Category D ( I think it's D) but if they're repaired properly and pass an MOT then they're fine to use. Can be harder to sell though, as it shows up somewhere on history. Maybe the rules have changed since I did that so other here may have more up-to-date info. Am hoping there may be hope for you and Daisy. (BTW, no way was I thinking anyone here would be laughing at your misfortune)

Well tbh PFM I don't know the ins and outs of the law on damaged vehicles or even what category of damage they put on her as not had any paperwork through yet but I just feel its time to stop throwing money at her and the second step up in her is getting harder for my arthritic knees to climb too.

Cat C and D can go back on the road.

Someone who has a jig and good at pulling body work would fix that no problem.

Good luck with whatever you want in life, and I'm sorry your camper ended up like this.

I've been looking and looking at this and must admit I am quite tempted by the pod - especially as I only live down the road from you Poppi, in Kentisbeare nr Cullompton.
I'm hesitant though not knowing how easy it is to mount/dismount as I need the pickup for the gardening work I do though the thought of being able to get away for a while is enticing. From the looks of it, it would not be possible to fill the gas cylinder with it on too.

Well I have never de mounted it since I have had it as it has been attached in some way to the chassis and the flatbed of the pick up removed. I want to sell the whole thing so it would be up to the buyer to figure it out.

It is a piece of cake. I can get a pod off in 6-7 minutes. Obviously you will need a pair of front Jacks - which of course I can help you with.
Daisy is bolted to a steel subframe which is as I have mentioned pretty rare. But I have had a couple like that and it came off quite easily. The body is designed to sit on the Flatbed so once you have the body off Daisy and on your Pick-Up you can take it off and put it back on very easily.

I would grab the opportunity to buy it, cozy if you don't you will regret it. In the summer or winter for that matter at the end of working I would grab some food and go up on the Downs all over the Island, park up and put the kettle on, have the grub, or cook it in the Galley and then have a read of the paper and have a kip. It can be so spontaneous. The sun is out and just go for it. With the beautiful countryside you have around you there, you can just get in and go off Friday night and come back Sunday night. The freedom of a Romahome is WONDERFUL.

You know you can always pick my brains about any questions you may have. Just do it man. Buy it.
