First long run

Post by pasiro on Sun Oct 16, 2011 10:42 pm

It was nice to give it a good run today, about 100 miles round trip with quite a bit on very bumpy roads, although most vehicles wouldn't see them as being bumpy bounce
Ended up with the windscreen getting chipped somehow though Sad
On a positive note I went out for the day yesterday and got offered a towbar free of charge, just have to wait until I see him again to get it, probably next month, then talk someone into showing me how to fit it Laughing

I actually found the hijet surprisingly 'unbouncy' compared to the vehicle I had after it! Embarassed Very Happy Shocked

but it was a 1978 Land Rover Series 3 (leaf springs all round), with a tuned 200Tdi (2.5 direct injection turbo diesel), and mud terrain tyres :p

or maybe its just the roads I tend to use Wink :p Very Happy
