Post by oldie on Thu Nov 17, 2011 11:04 am

Would these wheels fit our little vans with woble nuts? Any problems with rubbing etc?
Think they would look the dogs danglies, not too big and about the right size at 14" as far as looks go Cool.......

About but not able to answer you questions!

Check for bolt shape as some have tapered style bolt fitment, while some have a flat face to the bolt holes - and you need the right type for your wobble nuts. And you make have to adjust the bore size of the center spigot.

But really I don't know what I'm on about as I've never tried the pug wheels out.

How about a set of 17's on Ebay? Very Happy

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x110-17-inch-tsw-alloys-fits-most-jap-mgzs-zr-hyundai-coupe-/150700776549?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item2316775c65

Though i reckon the guy can't use a ruler, afaik they should be 4x114.3 on the Hyundai

Depending on how much you wanty spend, there are new ones available, though most Hijet owners are unlikely to spend that on new wheels... Wink

Good luck with your hunt, i had given up hope of a set when the ones on mine popped up on Ebay. Very Happy

I bought a set of 205 gti 1.6 wheels to look at. To get them to fit with wobbly bolts I would of had to drill out the bolt holes as they were too small, Drill out the centre bore and get a taper drilled into the bolt hole. Then there's the major factor that the rear wheels on the hijet don't have centre location. I've said on a few other threads I've looked into every possibility around wheel fitment and the only sensible option I came up with was getting a set with the correct PCD.
If you've got a friend moving over from aus or japan thats your easiest option to get a nice set of wheels.
Having said that i'm sure you could fit other stuff with wobblies, but personally I wouldn't.
