I remember having trouble getting the right shoes myself a year or 2 back. I would take a drum off and have a close look at the shoes, to see if the notches and holes match the diagram online. One difference is the rectangular slot about a quarter of the way down - so some shoes this is open (as in the pic on your second choice) and on others it is closed.

Why not get the garage to source the parts? They usually manage and if it's a reasonable garage they'll do their best to get parts at a reasonable cost.

Alternatively A1 Motor stores can order braking parts for the Hijet. I got a price a couple of years ago for discs and pads which were about the same or a bit cheaper than a garage quoted. The only thing is do you have an A1 Motor store near you?

Another alternative is Euro Car Parts who seem to have a good reputation.

These came up for Hijet and also specifically for my MPV registration so they would seem to be correct.

no telling what a garage will charge for parts, they dont always have the best/cheapest prices on parts! so i like to source my own.

When I worked in car accessory shops and garage parts departments, the norm was for a garage to charge retail price to customers, and take the discount offered by suppliers as their profit. This used to be huge (70 - 80%) on some items, like exhausts, which is why garages could fit for 'free'.

Some garages, I'm sure, will apply their standard margin to their discounted price and charge that to the customer - often higher than retail. How many of them will go the extra mile to find lower-price parts I'm not too sure.

I've always found that factors, and now online, give the best price even to retail customers, and if it's a recognized brand a garage should be happy to fit. Be warned that they might only guarantee the actual work they did, and not the whole job though.

Fault with parts I go to the part source
Fault with the fitting, I go to who fitted it.
That's how I do things as it is.
