Wee Comfort Mod

Post by Logi on Sat Feb 25, 2012 5:02 pm

Been a few longish rund in the 'Jet lately, i found the doorframe wasn't wide enough to support my elbow when driving(i have armrests on my truck and prefer to rest my elbow on the side when driving) so i made this for the Hijet Smile

Very good idea. I have been thinking about some sort of ledge for a while but your solution is much better than the bodge job I had in mind. Thanks for the inspiration!

Its not off owt, its just a bit of metal folded with a couple of triangular fillets welded in. A wee bit grinding, filing, sanding, some paint and job done Smile

Not my era of school days, welders etc are now band though health and safety rule Laughing

I could vacuum form it out of abs or acrylic after making a mould out of MDF.

Fancy posting some pictures of your sill/arch rebuilding job?
