All I've done is rag it round the estate and tested the electric fan etc, feels very tight and the engine is smooth. Seems to slide OK too. The turn in is a bit washy though but I think that's down to the tyres being a bit old and worn out, but luck has it, I have a full set of 4 standard wheels and pretty much spankers tyres.

Well it looks tidy enough, and the wheels aren't too shabby. Hope you got a good deal.

Tempted at maybe a bull bar, and some wheels, and some cow patch stickers.....

Oh yeah a limited slip diff if I ever see some easy cost effective solution Razz

Ask him how much he'd want for a load of black cow patches if you can get the posted up, left over bits of vinyl would work.

I think a Ford mk1/2 rear axle is 1570mm wide between wheel mounting faces and there is loads if different bits available even disc conversions or swap with a baby atlas I recon it will fit and give a 108mm wheel pcd if I remember next time I'm at Clare's Aunt and Uncles I'll measure up the axle in the garage it's a left over from Clare's cousin's hot rod race car.

That's not a bad price at all. A friend who works for a company which cut the graphics for a leading high street store says I can have a load of the off cuts and cut outs bits from the window displays for nothing, I've just got to cut the cow patch shapes myself by hand - which is going to be interesting Shocked

Spent a few hours day cleaning the new van out, jet washing the carpets, and using some alcohol to get all the scuff marks off the inside of the back from where people have been putting stuff in and out.

Next job is T-cut the outside, then touch up all the chips, then put a few layers of polish on it.

The guy that does it is wrapping my other car next week Smile

Just use a scalpel, get a few extra blades, and a thick rubber matt to cut it on and you'll be fine

Nearly finished T-cutting jet2, I've been touching up all the stone chips and scratches with some colour matched paint. Looks alright, not perfect by a long way but certainly makes him look pretty tidy. Next will be a coat of resin polish, back to black all the exterior and paint up the wheels. I am so sad Mad

Time is ticking! Counting down the days....

5th of august i'll be driving my new hijet Smile

Just waiting on my civic's insurance policy to end then I can insure my hijet for just £298. BARGAIN!!!

I'll be taking my trusty civic to the scrap yard to get weighed in one day this week, bought it 2 years ago for £650, changed the oil once, passed its MOT, done 40k miles in it, drove it to south of france, towed over loaded trailers, ragged it everywhere. Sad to see it go Sad

Cheapest insurance policy i've had yet Very Happy

Really excited about running a hijet again

Does anyone know if an mpv can be insured with car insurance companies? I'll have to give budget a call tomorrow.

My van is on an Admiral Multicar policy, no problem as long as it's for private use.

have you considered a trade policy
I have the lot covered
Wifes Fiesta
Disco
6 Hijet Pickups
1 Rascal
Trailer
And 5 monkey bikes Very Happy

All for £1200 BUT that includes using a anything with more than 4 wheels in traffic management which I recon more than doubles the premium
Tradex do part time traders, you don't need to buy and sell
