Maybe try to restrict the water feed to the vaporizer with a brake hose clamp, and see if that makes the engine temperature better. The heaters already bypass the thermostat, it has always crossed my mind that by adding an LPG vapourizer it creates a second bypass loop.

The holes in any head gasket are much larger than the opening size of the thermostat. If the thermostat is getting cooler water through it should close, restricting the flow. While if you have a hot bypass running which puts hot water on the underside of the thermostat it will stay open, causing a lower running temperature.

This is just speculation.

I removed the fan on the water pump.
It's marked as piaggio part(but there aren't any code stamped on it),so I think maybe it's the pickup fan,or maybe an aftermarket part...
Now I'm on the lathe, this evening I see if there are differencies, but in a short test done during the lunch pause I see two things...
Engine seems to be a lot less "braked", and temperature seems to raise faster...if this is real I have done a great goal..lower fuel consumption and less kilometers before switching on lpg from cold start... Smile

Engine seems to run hotter... Razz
Now the gauge stays about 2.5/3mm before of an ideal vertical line... Very Happy
And from the heater comes hot air!

This is a really interesting thread, thanks for the clarity & attention to detail. It's a really useful reference as I work through my anomalies of my non overheating post head gasket Hijet driving experience. cheers

The little bastard is running at correct temperature.
During an uphill on the scanuppia, it starts to run over the half scale...
Then I remember that I have the cardboard covering the radiator Very Happy

Even without the cardboard, engine runs at correct temperature...
